The Resort of Luosto

Set on the edge of the National Park in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the magnificent ski resort of Luosto provides the backdrop for your holiday to Lapland. Situated above the Arctic Circle; just 90 minutes north of Rovaniemi, it is an area where peace & tranquillity prevail. One of Europe’s most sparsely populated countries; it is hard to imagine anywhere more beautiful and unspoilt than Finnish Lapland. And it is here that we can see why Santa has chosen Lapland as his homeland… a magical place, surrounded by lush pine, spruce & larch forests.

Log Cabins

Staying in a cosy traditional log cabin doesn’t mean you have to forsake your creature comforts, indeed our accommodations have been built to the highest Finnish specification and all are centrally heated. Generally, cabins are open plan in style, although you also have the option to upgrade to a 2 bedroom cabin. Each cabin is well-equipped with kitchenette, sauna/shower room, drying cupboard and a log fire (where available). Cabins are individually furnished & may be different from the pictures shown.

Such cabins provide a very comfortable sleeping area often with 2 double beds built into the wood at a lower level & 2 upper beds.

These cabins generally accommodate 4 persons, but it is possible to obtain a cabin which is suitable for 6, please ask for a quotation. Open plan cabins are located between 5 & 25 mins walk from the centre of resort & 2 bed cabins between 15-30 mins walk. Naturally we provide you with thermal snow suits & boots to keep you warm against the elements. Breakfast and dinner are taken in resort at an allocated restaurant.

This is a charming hotel which has been built in the shape of a Lappish reindeer earmarking. This attractive hotel complements its natural surroundings & affords a selection of en-suite rooms with all amenities. The Amethyst Spa swimming pool is available for guests use (local charges apply) and if you’re feeling a little less energetic, there is a bar in which to relax. A buffet style breakfast & dinner is available in the hotel restaurant.

Twin Rooms
Comfortable guest rooms with en-suite shower & toilet, TV with satellite channels, telephone, hairdryer & minibar.

Family rooms (for 4 or 5 persons)
There are 2 room configurations for this type of accommodation. One has twin beds plus a convertible double sofa bed. The other is duplex in style with 2 beds at a lower level & 2 or 3 mattress beds for children on the upper level, which is reached by a gated staircase.

Traditional Lappish Cuisine(Optional excursion)

For clients staying in Luosto, there will be the opportunity to experience traditional Lappish cuisine with a three-course evening meal at The Bear Inn. This will be an optional excursion, that can be reserved in advance (excluding your first night in resort).
